As you will know, if you were able to come on Saturday, September 2nd, it was a gloriously sunny day, just perfect for a traditional English village show. The event was very well attended and everyone seemed to be having a really good time, with live entertainment, interesting exhibitions to see, food and drink to suit all tastes and fun and games for all.

I would like to offer my most sincere thanks to the many volunteers who helped make the show possible - the helpers on the day who staffed the gates and operated the games stalls, the teams of volunteers who organised the refreshments, the large stalls such as the Tombola, Raffle, Bookstall and Bric-a-Brac, the Scouts who managed the parking, and of course, the committee who have been working on the plans for the show all year.

There is great news from one, unsung team – the finance team who count the money, locked away in the Pavilion all day. We had an exceptionally good year financially and I am very pleased to announce that the show made a profit of £6,500 which will be donated to three local good causes - Winchester and District Young Carers, Barnies Kitchen and the Harestock Primary School garden project.

Congratulations to everyone who helped to achieve this fantastic result and I look forward to seeing you again at next year’s show.
